Just wondering.

I've been wanting some lately but haven't had any since it became news that they used beef fat in their frys.

Did they change yet?

I don't believe they are going to change it for america area since vegitarians probably account for 2% of their business (since their restraunts specialize in hamburgers and not vegitables :)). I wouldn't be suprised if they added beef to the ice cream :).

I used to go for a coke, small fry, and vegitable soup.

Yes, one McDonalds in NYC offered 3 different kinds of soups. The one across from the INS/Federal Building in lower Manhattan.

To pick a nit, it?s fries, and sorry, I don?t know answer. My sister quit eating McD?s fries. Oh well, she only gave them $20-40 bucks a year in fry business anyway.

Beef in the ice cream - LOL

The soup they served when I worked there was actually Campbell's. It came frozen in a carton. I liked the broccoli cheese soup.

I remeber hearing from one of my teachers in High School (a guy who DEFINATELY would have known his McDonalds facts :)) that they stopped using beef fat a while ago...he claims they were much better when they used it...hehe

<< You didn't seem to mind before. >>

I never said that I minded the TASTE of the frys. I admit that it tastes good.

I just don't like eating BEEF FAT.

and I'm betting there's more than meets the eye when it comes to that "vegetable soup"
like pieces of meat disguised as carrots

They no longer use beef tallow (congealed fat/dripping/grossness) but hey do use some sort of beef flavoring similiar to bullion. Not really a "meat" product but not enirely "vegan" either??

if you are a strict vegetarian then Macfries are not an option. We have MacDonalds saimin, but it has kamaboko (fish cake) in it.

you forget that some people wont eat beef because of RELIGIOUS or CULTURAL reasons. McD VIOLATED THEM by decieving them and not telling anybody about the beef

ick, talow is nasty stuff, i worked in a dog food plant (pedigree) for a few weeks...its ground up chickens and horse meat i belive, the stuff they put in dog food anyhoo, i wouldnt imagine 'beef talow' to be much different, just ground up cow parts that arent able to be sold at the grocery stone...mmmmmmmmmm

I just asked my wife.. the vegetarian and McDonalds french fry advocate ;)

They still do whatever it was they were doing regarding the fries (she said specifically what it was, but I apparently didn't care enough to remember it) ;)

Anyway.. yeah, there's some form of meat/fries connection still.. I believe it's still listed as 'natural flavoring' tho..
