The PIII 800EB is expecting a system bus at 133Mhz. Would I be able to run this at 100Mhz instead?

So far researching on the Internet, it doesn't look promising. But I wanted the knowledgeable people on Anand's boards to tell me for sure.

Thanks,
:)

you can run it at the 100 FSB but then you would only be running the chip at 600mhz... doh!

Yeah it would run at 600mhz. The multiplyer is locked thats why. So the 800eb (133mhz) the multiplyer is locked a 6x and the 800e (100mhz) the multiplyer is locked at 8x.

yep, it's because the multiplier is locked.... and to this day, nobody has found a way around it (intel not included)
