a GOOD paintjob will run you at least $2k, probably over 3k. A crappy cheap paintjob can be had for a few hundred bucks.

Depending on the quality I think it would be about $200-350, that would be my guess.

If you feel like taking a chance see if you can get the kids at your local vocational school to paint it. They need vehicles to learn to paint on and they won't charge much. Most of them in there are there because that's what they want to do and they are pretty good to begin with. I know a couple of people who have done that and have been happy with it.

I'd like a new Altima in a red (like Audi's red) or yellow, but they don't make either :(

Pro paintjob would be too much considering how much they cost to begin with.

You could get a cheap paint job like MAACO which would be around $300 but it won't last long.. they use a quick primer then paint and use a thick clear coat over that that takes about two days to dry.. it looks nice from far away but otherwise  it'll last for maybe 1 or 2 years if you're nice to it but I wouldn't count on it lasting much longer than that before it starts spidering and wearing down..

A *real* paint job from a body shop is done like the car companies do.. they use the primer, four coats of paint and four coats of clear coat if I remember right.. this kinda paint job can last for decades or at least 12 years.. it is done just how the car companies do it if not better, but they cost in upwards of $1200...

Its your call really.. pay $1200+ now and have a paint job that'll last the conceivable life of your car or get MAACO or something similar that will last for maybe 3 years if you're lucky..

Edit: Just realized that the $1200 was for my friend's VW Bug.. your unlikely to pay that little for any regular sized car.. I'd say +-$1700

I love when people who have no idea what they're talking about jsut throw out random guesses.
