Let me list my hardware setup first:
1x Patriot 64GB
1x Microcenter 64GB (60GB usable)
2x 500GB HDDs
1x 1TB HDD
Current Configuration:
Windows Install - 64GB Patriot
Primary Data - 2x 500GB HDDs in hardware RAID0 and the Microcenter 64GB as the cache drive using RST
Backup Data - 1x 1TB HDD, currently using Windows Backup
My question is, can I change this over and use my 1TB drive in software RAID1 to keep a backup of my hardware RAID0 setup? Will there be any issues? I hate relying on backup software, and while I know there's benefits if I delete anything on accident, it's still set to run as a timer and thus there's that window I can lose something.
