When booting into windows, just before the welcome screen do you get a full screen of static pixels and random colors?

nope but sometimes nothing appears until the window logo comes up. Monitor will say cannot display blah blah then the windows logo will appear

Yea I get the same problem. I have the 1900xtx and i get a screen of weird colored lines and seems like a freeze frame of static colors after the windows loading screen and before the login screen. I think i started getting that after installing the amd64 driver for dual core in xp. I uninstalled it but I still get that problem. However I don't think its affecting any performance or anything. Any solutions ??

Some of the older DFI bioses caused that issue. Try updating your bios and see if that helps.

Sometimes I get it, I believe it started happening after I installed the new drivers (6.4), but now I dont get it anymore...... then again now I'm back @ 6.3 + Chuck Patch.

I've seen it happen on my X1900XTX. Don't remember which version though. Not doing it at the moment.

I started getting that after I flashed my Bios to XTX from the XT.

Usually happens when the Mobo Boot Screen has some kind of image to Display. Usually its an image of the supported processors. If u disable that screen from the bios [dunno what its name is but can check at home] it should go away.

I get it sometimes. Not often but then I again I don't reboot very often. I had the same thing everyonce in awhile on my X800XT.

No, none of that here. Though at first it used to give a quick red tinge to the time before the windows xp loading screen...

There's something wrong, thats fo sho.

Happens to me too, but only when booting up from a freshly installed driver the first time. Dosen't seem to happen after that, and it doesn't effect performance at all. Don't even see it on next reboot. I think it might just be windows recognizing it for the first time or something, and it only lasts for like .5 seconds so I just go on and pay little attention to it.

happens to me almost every boot.. 2 diff motherboards, 2 diff bioses on each, no bios change on the (ati mfg) gpu, 4 different displays.. somethings up with the card! Still works sweet though

x1900xt. Only got it 3 days though. Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo, Athlon 64 3000+ overclocked. Haven't seen this through multiple boots.

I noticed it as well with the Cat 6.4 and when I reverted back to 6.3 everything was ok..
Haven't checked if this is a bios issue I ll probably reinstall them to check now that I've done a bios upgrade..

I just went back to 6.3 and its not happening any longer, I also updated my bios before reverting back to 6.3 and it was still happening so im concluding it is infact an issue with 6.4
