Is it:

a muscular physique

a 30 dollar haircut

the right kind of clothes

good teeth

big feet

a sense of humour

Personality.
You lose the hair on your head, you grow hair out your nose, ears and butt, you develop a pot stomach and your butt sags when you age, so work on that personality. (goes both ways )

How about you don't worry about anything. You just be yourself and find someone who appreciates you as you are. Don't worry about what society thinks women like in a man. The whole concept is bunk.

BE YOURSELF. Love yourself. Think for yourself. Surround yourself with people who don't give a F*** about not only what society thinks is acceptable, but also what society thinks is admirable.

Then you will find that someone. Until then, it's only a pipedream. And a pipedream can and will lead to a life that you will not own.

kikokam, just curious, are you a guy or a girl (sorry if this offends you, but I can't really tell by your handle)?

kassy,

Heh, well you could look at that a different way too. You could say all those things that change need working on so that doesn't happen, and the personality never diminishes so you can leave that till later? :p

And you guys want a girl that's only concerned about cash? That's a disaster waiting to happen. And if you know that the person in your life is mainly interested in your money, why would you as a person who has self-respect ever be in a relationship like that?

Women that fraternize with men because of monetary gifts received are usually termed "whores". Just my .02 cents.

Yah but a loser guy who has no cash, and cant provide for his family can be a hot dude, but what kind of chick would want him? A white trailer trash chick maybe... goes both ways.

I have been wondering the same thing. I'm about as attractive as a truckload of bricks, but for some reason my girlfriend loves me. And the ironic part is: She's REALLY beautiful (and caring, and nice, and funny, and intelligent...), and she keeps on wondering what I see in her...

I agree w/towelie. If I was a trillionaire that would suck in a way, cause I wouldn't be able to tell if a girl was there for my money or for 'legit' reasons. I wouldn't enjoy being in a relationship with a girl that's only there for my money. Blech.

Well I'm happy for ya. Hopefully she feels the same about you! The worst thing is feeling strongly for someone and it not being mutual. I'm kinda in that situation.. kinda.

rudds: Don't worry about it. All the love you need you can find in yourself. When you are ready to enter a REAL relationship, it will most likely present itself in any number of ways. It all starts from within.

The problem with most relationships is that individuals enter them when they are not grounded. They look to the relationship and the individual to fill a void or to provide meaning to life. That void can only be filled by you.

In the meantime, I have a job for you... QUESTION EVERYTHING, but yourself. Because you are beautiful. Believe it.

towelie,

that's probably the sanest advice i've ever heard on the topic... it definitely makes sense, too, when i step back and look at my life.

RSI - LMAO, yeah you could say that, but some things are inevitable for us older folk.
Hair implants are a possibility I guess but mortgages and the like tend to get in the way ;)
Anyway I still think personality is what counts, the rest is transient.

just thought id add some of my comments in... not that they have any relivance in this post as its rather off topic from the original post, but saw no new need to make a new thread about it.

my question is, am I too picky?

I want the girl to be 5'2-5'9 - 100-135lb, 17-25, ya know just look decent.
she has to be smart and able to hold a decent conversation. (god I can not stand stupid girls, they annoy the crap out of me.)
and most importantly Honest, can not stand sneaky girls.
oh and smoking I hate smoking and will not even consider dating a girl who smokes.

also totaly optional wish I could find a girl that shared my interest in computers/network but just doesn't seem to be any of those out there :)

So think I am too picky?

Needless to say I am single :) -
