I'm considering using creatine in my workouts now that i've been lifting weights for a couple of months. I've heard about creatine 'cycling' but i've heard several methods of doing it (i.e. 1 month on, 1 month on versus 1 week on, 1 week off). What do you think is the most efficient way of doing it? Also, if anyone can recommend some good creatine, i'd appreciate it thanks :D

its usually around 4-8 weeks on 1-2 weeks off...

Try out swolve v2 a lot of people are getting amazing results with it.

Dont forget with creatine to drink as much water as possible 1.5-2g a day

1.5-2g is probably a little much...not that it will hurt, but you'll be fine with drinking around a gallon a day (which isn't all that hard to do, just walk around with a water bottle everywhere.)

excatly what i was going ot say, I own a GNC and i know tons of people come in asking the same question, and that is the answer i give them. Exspect for the brand there are many differant types, powders, pills, effervsent and Liquids. I would with powder or effervesent( powder when poured in water fizzes up and is much easier to mix, this also does not have any loading phase) Maybe even just go to the nearest GNC ask them your questions they should help you out and also show what specials and deals they have running. Sometimes certains Creatines are on sale. Good luc

1 gallon a day is not really enough with creatine. The more u drink the better the results.

Ya if you dont get swole v2 then any creatine powder will do get monohydrate though.

ALso do not get liquid creatine as it is basically crap.

Creatine is best mixed with some type of drink with sugar. LIke grape juice/orange juice or milk. Do not mix with grapefruit juice or anything like that

No....1 gallon is plenty, at least in my personal experience. Maybe you fail to realize how much 1 gallon of water is?!?! Of course the more the merrier, but I wouldn't say the more you drink the better the results.

How about this....just drink a LOT of water. Like I said, always have a water bottle with you and always have water in it. Drink a lot of water while working out too.....

I would stay away from orange juice and especially milk when ingesting creatine. The proteins in milk are going to slow down the asorption of the creatine. Grape juice is ok, but I would head down to your local beer/wine supply shop and buy dextrose. Mix it with your creatine and water after your workout (along with your whey protein powder).

I don't know the details, but my cousin recently was in the hospital for creatine related symptoms. Do yourself a big favor and just eat right or eat lots or whatever. You don't need any supplements IMHO. All or most of that stuff is not approved by the FDA.

Amen, to that. I find it ironic that people flock to the gym and embark on an exercise program seeking good health. Then, they begin taking all sorts of supplements and heavy doses of products and chemicals with unknown side effects that, in many cases, do more harm than good.
Do everything in moderation: exercise, eat right, stay hydrated, don't smoke, avoid sharing body parts with unknown partners from Third World countries, live long and prosper.

The only supplement you need is a multi-Vitamin, and even those are a conspiracy. :D

Skip the Creatine. You've only been working out for a couple of months. If you want results be patient and workout harder.

Agreed. Creatine does work well, but you'll be wasting it if you're not working out properly and eating properly (regardless of its cost, since the biggest benefits of creatine are when you begin taking it, so you want to maximize those with good diet and routine). I'd work out for a year consistently before even thinknig about supplementnig with anything beyond protein (needed!) and a multivitamin.
