Question for those with a Radeon and GeForce vid card...

This might be a strange question to ask but... humor me.

Ok, here goes...
You know when you have a blinking cursor and you put the pointer on top of it on certain cards it will make the pointer blink also? And with some cards, if you put the pointer over what's blinking... it starts to blink too. Are you still with me?

So, here's my question... To those that have either a Radion or GeForce, does your pointer blink along with something that's blinking on the screen? Or does it stay steady when you hold it over a blinking cursor?

Hmm, yeah that is an odd question. Like when I'm typing this message, there is a "|" that indicates where my next letter will be. It blinks. My cursor right now is the "i" format; it looks like the capital leter "i" because its in the "typing text" mode. When I put the text cursor over the blinking "|", the vertical bar of the cursor blinks as well. This is on a Radeon. Every video card I have ever had does this...

That's what I'm wondering... If the text cursor blinks. I have a V550 and a Matrox G200 at home and neither of them blink.

Any one with a GeForce want to add anything?? Come on, almost everyone here has either a Radeon or a GeForce!!

my rage fury sucks and cant handle the mouse pointer and the cursor blinking at the same time

Ok, so we've heard from a Radeon and Rage Fury owners. I would say this is an ATI thing but I have a Rage Pro at work that doesn't blink. And a Matrox G200 at home that doesn't blink either.

So what about the GeForce crowd? I know there's a bunch of you out there!

It's all in how the drivers interact with the OS and Nvidia's drivers are a bit less intrusive than ATIs and/or Matrox's.

I have a Radeon and it does the blinky thing following the cursors' lead! My last Geforce...well....I cannot remember because this is a silly question!!

No offense though! I quite often get caught up in these types of "huh, see what that is doing??? Wow!!!

I have a geforce2 gts and my pointer blinks when i hover it over the flashing curser.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I still don't know what vid card I'm going to upgrade to but now I know a little more about the two cards.

And yes, it is a silly question but it's a feature I like in video cards because I work with lots of little blinking things and hate to loose the pointer in them.
