Question for those who pay for things in cash

I bought a doughnut with cash once(upon a time) . I got a penny off, but I think that was just cause she didn't feel like breaking up a 1$ bill.

cash works well with contractors and other service industries. I had my gutters installed on the current home for about 100 off with cash. It does nto work that way with inventoried goods, if you know what I mean.

seems like you should be able to easily get 4% off for cash vs credit

When I used to work for Ford, people came in all the time with suitcases of $. They did get the best deals.

I use my debit card or credit card for large purchases. This way I acrrue reward points (even on my debit card.)
