assuming Adam and Eve did not eat from the fruit and therefore would live eternally on earth, as would all their offspring... and God's command was to be "fruitful and multiply".

what was God's plan on overpopulation on planet Earth?
would the Earth grow in size? would people start inhabiting other planets?

The answer is that the ignorant Stone Age people who wrote the fairy tales that became that part of the Bible just didn't think that far ahead; they had no fucking clue how big the world was.
 
You are making a lot of assumptions.
1) You are assuming they are always able to give birth. Living eternally is different than eternally young. That's why you never make a wish for eternal life. You won't be very mobile at 250, will you?
2) You are assuming they'll never stop having babies. If they had 4 babies, they'd have multiplied, thus fulfill the requirements
3) You are assuming that their children will have children. Their children do not fall under the category of "Adam and Eve," thus were not commanded to multiply.

Why limit the question to Christians when Genesis is the first book of both the Jewish Torah and Christian Old Testament?
 
Also, suppose one of them accidentally fell into a raging fire. What would have happened to them? Would their ashes be immortal or would the fire fail to permeate their body? If the latter, then would fire still keep such a person warm?

Also, where would one get a dining table large enough to accommodate all human beings, ever, in one dining room?
