Will using a 3.5mm splitter have any adverse affects on quality or volume or anything?

I will have a xonar D2X hooked up to Z5500s via analogue cable and since theres no other analogue plug i will have to use a 3.5mm splitter to plug my analogue headset in as well as the Z5500s at the same time, they are sennheiser PC350 (i plan to mod these for extra bass). This kinda setup isnt gonna be affected much by a splitter is it?

Is your computer set up now so that there are 3 dedicated analog outputs for 5.1 sound, and then at least one additional output for mic-in?
Hmmm... Even though the Xonar has a lot of analog jacks on it, it would seem that two of them can't output sound, eh? (Only inputs)
Is it possible on the Xonar to configure it for 5.1 + 2.0 instead of 7.1 from its 4 analog output jacks?

Does the z-5500 control pod have a headphone output on it? I don't remember.

On the other hand, sure you can use a splitter :p
You might find the need to level match your speakers again, but that should be something you do anyway just due to differences in distance / room interactions / etc.

I dont know i havent built it and dont own any of it yet :( lol. Yeah the Z5500 has a headphone plug, no mic plug though.

I just figured a splitter would work fine as the PC350s cant be that hard to power and the Z5500 is plugged into the wall so it shouldnt be taking anything from the 3.5mm wire anyways.
