Question For Photography People...

What makes a good colour for a backdrop? I have some artwork that I want to take photos of for a site, and they consist primarily of dark colours. I was thinking a piece of white fabric with a light blue tint might work, but might cause a glare. About the only dark colour I can think of that would work for a backdrop without blending too much would be mauve or maroon.

I would go with a light grey. Also see if you bounce the light off something else instead of having it directly pointed at the object.

Grey, I had not thought of that. That would probably be perfect.

As for indirect lighting, I have a FAQ I found for setting it up on a low budget, which I plan to try out. 🙂
