I used HTH chlorine last year, and half way through the summer my water started getting a little funky. I had my water tested at my local pool store and they told me my chlorine was dead (I also think letting that skank Girlfriday in my pool added to the funk of the water) My local pool store is outrageous in price, so I was hoping somone would be able to direct me some place online to buy some decent chemicals. Thanks!

Try bathing your nasty body once in a while, and maybe you would not have that problem.

Of course he doesn't. He loved the movie Free Willy too, I wonder if there is a connection..... :Q

HTH used propely is no problem. Had my pool since 7, and the water was always crystal clear. 23 years of experience, watching my dad first.

How many gallons?

Heat = more chlorine needed

Added water (Rain or little brats knocking out the water) = more chlorine needed

Lot's of stuff falling in pool (And organic matter excreted from same little brats) = more chlorine needed (Even if you diligently skim it out, it still has some time to rot)

Excuse me? The dysfunctional family christmas is always held at my house! It takes me a week to get your odor out of my furniture. Now please woman, I need a normal answer to this post. I feel like you are stalking me!!!

A spank really isn't a threat, it is something we look forward too!

GF: Maybe I should start a poll and see how many people would like to see the infamous Hat picture of Girlfriday!

Try and remember to shower before you go into the pool. Always remember, the bathroom is not that far away!

Myputer. You really ought to go bathe more often. Last I heard, GF called you a 2 bit ho, and you smacked her upside the head with a bag of Quarters.

Bacteria can cause the break down of chlorine. We use to test to see if new watermains are clean before putting them onto service. If you get alot of leaves, urine, etc. in your pool it will break down faster as it is killing off the bacteria.

Do you test you pool water weekly? Try testing it like 2 times a week at least.

Here is what I did to keep it clear.
chlorine tablet to keep chlorine level stable. Shock it once a week to give it a boost.

I test it two times a week, and shock it once a week. Last year was my first year so hopefully this year will be smoother.
