Since the answer has already been covered, I thought I should mention I had salt and vinegar chips for lunch (with pizza). S&V seems to be pretty polarizing, you either love them or hate them.

No one here has posted the correct answer. All of the answers so far are without replacement, however is question is with replacement. I know how to solve this, but I am busy right now to explain it, but I will give a hint.

Here are possible events:
5 of the same chip (5)
4 of the same and 1 different (4+1)
3 of the same, 2 of the same (3+2)
3 of the same, and 2 different (3+1+1)
2 of the same, and 2 of the same, and 1 different (2+2+1)
2 of the same and 3 different (2+1+1+1)
5 different. (1+1+1+1+1)

More hint
(20p1)/1!
(20p2)/1!1!
(20p2)/1!1!
(20p3)/1!2!
(20p3)/2!1!
(20p4)/1!3!
(20p5)/5!

THIS IS HOW YOU SOLVE IT WITH REPLACEMENT, BUT APPARENTLY THE OP QUESTION IS WITHOUT REPLACEMENT.

I hope your math is better than your reading comprehension. The OP clearly stated that he had to get 5 (and here's the key word!) different bags of chips.

I'll even highlight it for you:

How many different selections can she make?

Woops brain fart. I read

that would be one of the outcomes.

and thought the OP posted this response.

I wasted all my time giving the solution with replacement. Damn it.

Salt and vinegar chips are the best, but I've often wondered something: every bag of S&V chips I've ever eaten is labeled "artificially flavored". Doesn't anyone make real salt and vinegar chips with real salt and vinegar? Why would you ever use artifiicial flavoring for salt and vinegar? It's not like salt or vinegar is hard to come by...

My guess is that they probably just use some powdered form of acetate to give vinegar flavor since vinegar is really mostly water (> 95%). Its more economical and it'd be tricky to put vinegar on hot oily chips without making them soggy or having the vinegar just roll off.
