question for IBM P260 users

does your P260 have a faint glow to its screen when it has supposedly gone to standby mode? that is, the monitor is set to be turned off after a certain interval under display properties.

when the system is turned off with the monitor still switched on, it goes into the proper standby mode with its led turning to orange and its screen black.

how do i get the monitor to standby properly when operating in windows?

could not find DCPI. i only have these three options:

1) blank screen
2) V/H Sync + Blank
3) DPMS

it's currently at DPMS. would changing it to any of the other two help?

DPMS is what I meant.

If its set to that, check windows power management in the control panel. It should let you set how long before the monitor is turned off. If that's set correctly, perhaps it is supposed to do what it is doing?

it just seems odd that the screen still emits a faint glow when it is in standby mode (triggered by window; turn off after a set interval) when the screen can actually go black (when monitor's power is still on) when the system is switched off.

just wondering if other P260s are having the same behaviour.
