Question for gamers . . .

depends..

there's some types of games in which i prefer one platform over the other. for instance, i prefer most sports games on consoles rather than on the PC.

too lazy to go into detail...
 
PC Gaming.

1. Console games have almost no replayability, horrible gameplay, a bad storyline, and quickly outdated graphics.

2. Keyboard + Mouse > All
 
PC. It used to be about dead even for me until on fateful day.
My 4 year old was playing the PS2, his game didnt load....What comes up? The default load screen, giving access to the memory card.
See where this is going?
I had YEARS worth of game data ripped away from me forever. CastleVania, which i had beaten once and was going through again as the vamprire guy? Gone. Gran Turismo(3 I think) with all licenses and most of the kick ass cars? Bye bye. GTA3, about 3/4 of the way finished? No more.
Lots of other games, Final Fantasies, RPG's, all kinds.

All gone.

Literally, I was so disgusted I just cant play consoles anymore.
 
Considering this is a PC Hardware site...i wonder what the overwhelming response is gonna be...😛

they could be in IT, Graphics design, etc
 
I've been 100% die hard PC gamer since N64, but I bought a PS2 just for GT4 and haven't stopped playing it since release. So I am about 50/50 right now hehe 🙂

well yeah, but i just thought about it in a different way :

Post on a computer forum and many members will have an up-to-date PC which can play newer games AND have 1 or 2 consoles

Post on a console forum and many members will have old PCs that can barely access the internet and have ONLY PLAY on their 1 or 2 consoles
 
Always have been a PC gamer...graphics are generally better (usually quite a bit), and I just can't see using a gamepad for gaming - especially FPS, which is where I spend 90%+ of time. It's undoubtedly more expensive, but I wouldn't keep up if I didn't think it was worth it. 🙂

Edit: Also expandability/replayability...tons of mods available for games.
 
console is good and is what i play most of the time, but pc has best controls, except maybe for sports games but i don't really play them
 
My pc and pc games have really offered me way more value and flexibility than any console. If money were no object I'd definately enjoy playing some of the latest greatest consoles and their titles, but even then, my pc games are contenders.

I do have a fondness for some charcteristics of consoles though. The simplicity of it I guess, and relaxing in an armchair with that gamepad, as I'd never do with a pc game.
 
I lost almost all interest in Console gaming.
Now I only play on occasion. Which? hmmm.. the release of non-crap. ie: GTA:SA
GT4 and whatever my girlfriend discovers that does'nt suck so bad. Replay value on consol is horrible, with the exceptions of some games (very seldom do they come out with a good title) N64's 1st WCW game was very good, and had some awesome replay. As did Golden Eye 007. Other than that, nothing beats a PC with internet gaming. Quake, CS, UO, EQ, SC, WC2, WC3, WoW, SB, AC2, UT, SWG, CSS. etc etc etc. not to mention graphical capabilities will always be better on pc.
 
Last console I owned was N64. Goldeney drew me into the fps genre immediately. The my family got a new pc and I started playing Quake 3. Bye bye to consoles...that hooked me immediately.
