Question for DirecTivo user: can you transfer the shows to DVD recorder

I have been playing with this thing for couple of months and noticed an option to trasnfer recorded content to VCR. Has anyone tried to trasnfer to a stand alone DVD recorder instead of VCR?

Yes, I use Svid out to my DVD Recorder. Works great. I don't use the "Save to VCR" thing though. I just play the program and control the the DVD recorder manually.

Edit* All the "Save to VCR" thing does *aside from putting up a title screen which you can do with the DVDRcrdr anyway* is turn on the VCR and start Record, then shuts it off again when its done. You can do this yourself w/o using the save to VCR, you are probibly going to be pausing the recorder while you FF the commercials anyway.
