Question for digital cable subscribers

Ok, so I'm considering getting digital cable, through Charter, but that shouldn't matter. I want digital on our main TV, but not on our secondary TVs, like the one in the basement and the one in our bedroom. Does a standard cable signal come over the line as well as the digital signal? I'll pay for the digital subscription, but I don't want boxes on our not often used TVs.

I emailed Charter but they don't respond so I ask you!

Yes, a standard cable signal does come through on all the other outlets. However, I have the following gripe with Time Warner Cable here in Charlotte.

We subscribe to HBO, Showtime and Starz multiplex packages, which include HD and On Demand channels. Of course these are digital channels, but there's also an analog HBO channel (channel 7 in our line-up.) Now my gripe is that while Channel 7 works on our set-top box (along with the digital channels), I can't access channel 7 on any other TV. I've called REPEATEDLY to get this fixed and I'm told the same thing by ever CSR--HBO requires an addressable decoder box. BULLSH*T!!! My friend has standard TWC in the same area and he subscribes to HBO and receives it without a box! They're just too pompous to switch it on for all our outlets, because they want more settop box revenue. Fsckers.

I just got a response from Charter:

"I understand that you would like to run expanded basic on your other TVs. I apologize
for the inconvenience caused to you.

In order to know about it please contact our phone support at 888-871-4485 or you
can also use our Live Chat by logging onto our website at www.charter.com

Thank you for your co-operation."
