Question for Conservatives age 18-38

I have a serious question for people who voted for Bush in 2004 who are age 18-38 or whatever the maximum age it is to join the Army -->

Knowing that the Army is having difficulty in meeting their recruitement goals, and that Iran and North Korea are MAYBE potential future problems, why are you not enlisting in the Army? I mean, you voted for Bush in 2004 after knowing that he was wrong about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and now the Army is having problems with the insurgents in Iraq and having problems with recruiting new soldiers - so why are you not voluntarily joining the Army?

I really do not understand this. If you would vote for Bush in 2004 after he lied to us - that indicates that you are hardcore Republican and you support them unconditionally. So why won't you put your life/limbs where your mouth is and join the Army and go to Iraq?

And to prevent any BS here, this is not directed to those who voted for Bush in 2004 and did in fact join the Army. I respect you. This is for those who voted for him and are eligible to join the Army but won't because you are a - hmmm, a certain word comes to mind - chickenhawk? Not sure where I heard that before but I think it was applied to Dick Cheney.

Anyways, this is something that has been on my mind after all of these newspaper articles I've been reading about the Army having problems recruiting people. Where are all of the young men who voted for Bush in 2004? Just wondering...
 
perhaps you would get a better response if you asked "proponents of the war in iraq" rather than all conservatives.

You support the troops dont you? If you do why arent you joining the Army?

There is a national shortage of nurses in the US. You support nurses dont you? If so why arent you going to school to become one?

There is also a lack of quality public school teachers in the US. You support quality teachers dont you? If so why arent you training to become one?

I voted for Bush but the military wont let me back in because of medical reasons. I tried the Navy back in 91.

I seriously doubt that all the 51% of US voters, 11% of Democrats, and 48% of Independents who voted for Bush could credibly be called hardcore Republicans.

Sorry, Chum. Your delusional attempt to ascribe pathology to anyone who would vote for a candidate you dislike only proves the pathology rests in your own view.

He may not have worded it quite right, but I've also been wondering for the longest time why the warmongering cons on P&N haven't already marched down to the recruitment office to do their duty and serve the cause that they (supposedly) believe in.

So what's the problem guys? Too busy? You're "too important" to drop everything? Or is this "support" just a big sham (much like everything else you guys spout off)? Hmm?

We'll wait for your reasoning (though I doubt we'll see more than a few insults and a few more :cookie: spread around)

It's because they are comfortable in their lives and jobs, and are willing to let others (mostly the poor) die in the name of the Empire.

I already asked this question a couple years ago. Most of them are spineless and came up with some of the funniest excuses I've heard. Just ask Cad, this guy takes the cake in BS.
 
Even though the Far Left Radicals here see me as conservative, I'm opposed to the war in Iraq and always have been. I was even opposed the first time when Bush I went. And yes, I already brought this up with the warmongers. The answer I got was that most of them are veterans. So there, I guess...

Indeed. Fair enough that I might not have worded it correctly. I notice that the people attacking my logic still did not respond to my point.

The point still stands. All of you people who voted for Bush in 2004 and are eligible to join the Army - whether you are "hardcore" or whatever - why won't you put your life and limbs where your mouth is and go fight in Iraq? It's a simple question really.
 
i voted for kerry, im not a war proponent, yet im conservative. what should i do so that im not hypocritical in your ignorant view?

and im sure every cause you believe in you enlist yourself, correct?

Where is the link to the statistical breakdown by age-groups and gender of people that voted for Bush in 2004?
 
The answer is easy: There are a great many ways to support the military and policies without joining the Army. I support a lot of things, and I don't have to join a specific group to show my support.

There are a billion variables in people's lives at play when we decide our actions. You are a total fool to think that if you support 'A', then you must DO 'B'. Andy123, you're off to a great start at P&N, your lack of reasoning should fit right in with the other blockheads.

The answer is simple some one has to stay on the home front and burn oil in SUV's to make sure the troops to know that the fight is important.
