Ok, Me and two or one other friends want to do some community service which we need, our schools internet and network sucks, me and my friend(s) want to fix all the stuff and get community service. now I don't really know to to tell our Principal this.

Like what I will say now

(With all of us in the room)
one of us speaking

saying, We would like to help the network in the school and get it in proper working order for community service hours

but what else can I add and what else can I say to make it seem more kick into it.

Why not? The principal won't bite you...

Worse thing that could happen, would be that he/she says no.

I see only one problem with this. School networks and equipment are expensive and I don't know how keen your principal would be to let some students work on it. However, it can't hurt to ask, so go give it a try.

You could write-out a proposal to your principal showing your past achievements in computer networking to demonstrate your qualification(s). In addition, be ware that your school may already have its "network genius," who may not want you taking over his job. ;)

It wouldn't hurt, in the event that you need funding, to propose to Student Government.
