Well... I just bought a phone with Dual Band GSM. (900/1800)
And I just found out that I have to have a 1900 band to work in USA or Canada?
Well... my question is there anyway (buying part or mod the phone) can my phone has a 1900 band?

Thx ATOT

What phone?

It is possible on some phones that are exactly the same but are just flahsed to different firmware for use in US/Canada or Europe/Asia.

Yuo can ask around heretoo...

US/Canadian bands are 800 MHz and 1900 MHz . You bought a European phone. I think the RF sections are different between the two versions, and there's probably no way to flash them. If you want to be able to use a phone all over the world, you need what's called a world phone, which has all four bands.

Of course, your question, like so many questions asked here, cannot be answered accurately because you left out some important information. (Can anyone figure out what information that is?) ;)

US is 900/1900 or 850/1900. Most phones sold here are tri-band--either 850/1800/1900 or 900/1800/1900. The quad-band phones kick ass!
