I've started seeing a nice woman who is just crazy about President's Choice White Cheddar Mac and Cheese. She can't get it in the US, so she is saving her last box and won't let anyone else eat it.

I have never had it since it isn't available in the US. I am just wondering about it. A quick google search turns up tons of people who really like the stuff. How does it compare to other varieties that may be available in the US (Kraft, Velveta, etc)?

I like to to stupid semi-romantic things. So instead of a dozen roses, I want to get her a dozen boxes of the stuff. So far, all I can find is one website that sells it. But there is a minimum of a $30 order and a $20 shipping charge. Does anyone know of a place to get it cheaper?

Don't remember much about President's Choice White Cheddar Mac and Cheese. As jfall said, nothing special, but there are people who love the PC brand (sold at Loblaws and No Frills IIRC).

The only item I miss is the Black Bean and Corn salsa. However, I'm not crazy enough to "save" it. What's the point of having it unless you use it?

I don't even do that for the Greaves's Jams/Jellies that we used to get up there. Not that's excellent stuff.

Where do you live? I recall that Tom Thumb grocery stores sold President's Choice stuff, but that was years ago.

Oh--pics?

Some of this President's Choice stuff is available across the lake here in Rochester. I know I've seen their Decadent choc chip cookies before. I will see if I can find it when I hit up the store tonite.

I conducted a blind taste-test this last winter of 6 different white cheddar macaroni varieties. There were 4 of us doing the testing.

First place went to IGA (Sobey's) with their generic 'Our Compliments' brand. 3 of 4 votes for 1st place went to it.

'President's Choice' was 2nd or 3rd, along with the Safeway brand.

Kraft Dinner white cheddar was near the bottom, along with the other brands we had found.

Meh. It's OK. I'm driving to Rochester, Minnesota next month. If you happen to live in a city on the way, I'll bring a bundle of them for you.

Thanks for the input. It looks like SaturnX may be able to come through, make a small profit for himself, and save me a bit of cash.

No pics yet. I don't even have one.

PC White Cheddar > White KD
Haven't tried the Sobeys stuff yet, hmmm?
I know I prefer Our Compliments Lasagna over all other brands. . .
