I'm fine enough with it, and have never had any problems. I'm too busy to stay at home when there is an issue. Our current landlord is the mom to one of my GF's best friends, so we personally know her a bit. If there is somebody fixing something, she is always there, even if we're not.

In my old apartment, the apartment's maintenance guy and a plumber had to come in and fix something. I left $300 in cash in plain view on my desk, and had completely forgotten about it until I had already left the apartment. They were working while I was gone. I was freaking out, but it wasn't even touched when I got back.

That's probably a better way to really make sure nothing gets stolen. They'll think it's a setup!

I have 4 roommates, I stopped feeling uncomfortable at that point when I realized there's always someone home.

Can't worry about it, but I'd be likely to take the laptops with me to work that day. Everything else other than clothes doesn't belong to me..so who cares 😛

By the poll numbers alone, i can see that im not alone in when it comes to not wanting landlords or people affiliated in my apt when not neccassary(spell check i know) thanks again for the comments 🙂

I'd just be happy if my apartment landlords bothered to come fix anything in the first place. I don't think I have to worry about them coming into my place.

My old apt? No. Super was a very very odd man with a drug/drinking problem. Some days he was super upbeat and cool, other days pissed off, other days kinda nosy.

New apt? Sure, they are all very professional and friendly.
