I'm on day uhh 11 and tomorrow I have to do 2 workouts back to back. I bought the deluxe one so I have the choice between doing Cardio Abs, or Insane Abs. By name alone Insane Abs sounds harder, so I Googled and found everything from "ZOMG don't do it unless you're already in crazy shape!" to "harder, but not a whole lot" to "It's not really good, you should do the P90X one instead" I found a few comparisons but they looked like Beachbody promo sites. All I want is feedback from someone who's done both and can give their honest opinion on a 1/10 scale for each difficulty wise.

I'm not in great shape, I suppose I'd say I'm above average but definitely nothing to brag about.

Have not done but do the harder one, you won't lose weight doing easy things :D Good luck!

Can't remember since I did it more than a year ago but I'm pretty sure that Insane Abs is like twice as difficult.

Perhaps I'll just do the regular one tonight, I'll be doing the ab disc 7 more times over the program, so maybe I'll ease into insane abs.

Thanks you might have just saved me a from probably having to take a few days off to recover, which I don't want to have to do.

I was in decent shape when I did Insanity, and I did the normal version. I had good core strength already, so it wasn't that hard. If you're unsure, do the "easier" one and if it isn't that bad, do the Insane one next time. If you're feeling brave, do the Insane Abs. Worst that would happen is you couldn't finish it. Do the workouts at a pace you can, and you'll be fine.

And being actually in above average shape in the US means you can run more than like 10 seconds and don't have 35 BMI. >_>

insanity is hard on the knee's especially the 2nd round of it.

PS.

Its also very cardio/core focused.

p90x is a much more balanced work out.
