I'm also not particularly in a rush after I dated a girl for seven years who I did think I was going to marry, and then found out she was a giant lying whore bitch. If I can't be sure after 7 years, how am I going to be sure next time...sigh.

Well. The relationship with my girlfriend of 8 years was destroyed by my mom. I could have saved the relationship had I been able to move out on my own. But with the lack of job and income it made that an impossible task.
So, money. Then I could move out on my own. As I'm not currently in a position to be able to meet new people and make new friends.
 
Somebody who is not batshit insane, gets along with me, and doesn't drive me up the wall. Meaning can't be typical passive-agressive type, or plays games with your head type, or bitchy. Also, can't be a fvcking idiot. Seems like all the ones I find are typically some combination of the above.
 
It's hard to understand but don't plan something that's the most important thing in life (or near the most important)
 
i'm done with all that. if they want me, i'm right here, come and get me. for sex and FWB stuff. but i will put in almost zero effort into another relationship... it's just not what i care about right now.

divorced, 34, single and unattached, good job, good friends and family, nice house, no kids... why fuck it up with another relationship? it took me a while to get happy alone but i made it, and i don't trust women anymore. NONE of them.

In about two weeks, my wife & I celebrate 350 years...I mean 35 years of "married bliss."

Has it always been easy? Hell no. We have a "working marriage," so called because marriages take work on both people's part...not just one.

But, it's been good...even through the bad times. We always managed to make things work.

I am fully aware of that.
I don't expect perfection. She can be chubby, she can have a kid, blablabla ... but can't be tyrannical, stupid, bitchy, incompetent with money, etc ..... I refuse to deal with another boss (already have one at work), and I don't need somebody to spend all my money for me....

I usually wind up finding some crazy combination of everything I hate.... ugh....
 
I bought my own house last year at 23. I have three vehicles that are all paid off, four if you include a snowmobile. I have an awesome job that looks like it will only get better. Why would I ruin a good thing?

Or as my friend put it.....C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!

Cus too many people still fall into the social stigma that if you're not married or have kids by a certain age, you're not "grown-up" but now-a-days it's the opposite that immature people are getting married or having kids and the mature ones are waiting until they are truly ready.

I have no real time for a GF (the hours of my job)
I'm also gonna be happier to settle down after I figure out what Im gonna be doing for work (currently on a contract and I hate my job) and I'm also of course waiting for someone I like, that is close to my age.
