I have Crucial memory in my Abit SA6R and im starting to get system crashes and failures to POST. From what i gather most ppl don't think Crucial runs very well in ths MB. So, can any of you out there recommend some memory that runs rock soliid at 133mhz and 2-2-2. Also, if you have experienced similar problems with the SA6R mainboard, plz let know. Thanks.

Hmmm... You sure it's Crucial with CAS2, or is it CAS2.5? Lower it to 2.5, and see how it works. Other than that, you could always try Nanya memory, or Kingston.

Ya, im sure its cas 2. It's part #CT32M64S4D7E. I can't lower it to 2.5 on this board, only 3. It runs quite stable when set at 3-3-3 7/9. How powerful is your power supply FatBelly? Someone suggested that my power supply might be causing these problems. I have an Antec PP253X 250W case. Is 250W not enough for this setup? Also, on another topic my power supply has a red switch in the back what apparently changes voltage from 115 to 230. Anyone know what the proper setting is for that? Thanks for the help.

Running SA6R with two 256MB Crucial memory sticks with the same part number. No problems in over a year. Memory set at 222. Operating system W2K Pro.
Why don't you download a copy of Doc Memory and test your memory.
V2.0 for W2K
V1.45 for Win98
This memory tester does a thorough job!

Thanks for the replay Richard. With some help from alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.abit, i inspected my capacitors on my mainboard and 5 of them are bad. This seems to be a know problem with some abit boards and that is what is causing the instability, not the Crucial meemory.
