If you'd said shooter instead of tosser when you nominated yourself you'd have made the list.

Here is a good example.

People still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea

I've got a watch that I wear when swimming, fishing, biking, etc. that has both analog and digital displays. I always find myself looking at the digital display.

SHOULDN'T THE TOP INVENTIONS BENEFIT MANKIND? Most of these or nothing more than TOYS God, nominate hte original nintendo instead of this crap. Or hte N64 for bringing 3D gaming to the forefront.

"Consumer Level Digital Camera" really, is this a "necessity". Film still works fine you know and it's 100 tiems easier for my mom to use film! How is it a benefit if 50% of society can't use it? WHAT THE FVCK!

Heh, had to think about that for a minute. I was thinking "Limited Slip Differential," and was really confused as to why you thought that would be #1. :D

Most of my ideas are already on that list. I thought for sure that the #1 was going to be batteries, since they have made huge advances, and are use in most every device you use. Yes, even your fleshlight. ;)

How about Satellite Radio / TV or Radial Tires (or the advancement of...).

Maybe they are thinking of some type of medical procedure. Hearing aids are on the list.

Are relational databases older than 25 years?

I hope that the Macintosh is not number one.

Why is HDTV such a great innovation?

I bet there are medical related innovations that are far better than HDTV that should be on this list.

1948.

The answer will not be the Internet, since the text-based Internet has been around longer than 25 years. The WWW, as distinguished by the addition of a GUI, is what I think the answer will be.

Ummmm.... I', j/k of course

Concur. Cell Phone = most annoying invention ever and will show psycoligcal problems i nthe future as parents are always a phone call away. Instant gratification is not healthy for children.

And this is hotly debated in psycoloigical circles.
