[Question] Do retail Conroe CPUs come with fans?

I have never built a computer before so I'm not sure on this...

If i bought say an E6300 would it come with a fan? (I know if it did it probobly wouldn't be the best, but I don't overclock anyway)

Retail boxes do come with fans. You're correct in assuming that they aren't the best, but it's adequate for stock cooling under surprisingly stressful conditions (100-degree-fahrenheit ambient temperature, etc.).
