Question concerning iTunes 5 and WinAMP 5.1

Really quick question for you folks since I can't seem to get either program to perform this one simple function. How do I get either of these programs to regularly scan a folder for music files that have been added without my intervention? For that matter how do I keep them from adding dupes?

The only point I can make here is that iTunes won't pick up duplicates if you manually give it a folder that it already has songs from. I don't know how scriptable that action would be, but I bet it could be accomplished with automator in osx. I'm guessing you're in windows though...
