Can you only run 1 scan that you menchioned at a time ?

And .. what is Windows Explorer exactly? Im trying to follow these eTrust instructions to finish off WhenU, but it says go into Windows Explorer and remove this stuff? Dont know of anything like that unless they mean internet explorer?

P.S. so no one knows how to kill run.exe? Should I just try deleteing it in my registry?

I went to the McAfee website, and all I can find is how to buy all their different packages. No downloads tab, no menchion of freeware or trial, etc. Im sure its there I just cant find it on their site.. (*hates sites with crappy layouts..*)

it appears like Spy Sweeper is worthless. I've done Spybot 1.4 scans, Adaware scans, Spy Sweeper scans, multiple times and keep removing and deleteing the "history" of it or whatever that appears in the scanners for if you would want to restore it .. and it just keeps coming back.. I did a scan in Safe Mode just now with SpySweeper, and now again not in safe mode, and this stuff still wont go away..

How does HiJackThis work ? Could that/they help me?

Did you do both the McAfee AND the SpySweeper scans, one right after the other, while you were in Safe Mode, with System Restore turned off? If not, try that.

Bigger picture: this would all be solved by now if you just reformat and reinstall Windows and keep yer nose clean
