Considering upgrading to the Radeon...if it's worth it. I do like my CLAP card, no problems.

Is there THAT much performance difference (other than the RAM amount) between these 2 cards playing games like UT Tour., Q3...real world vs. theory would be appreciated.

My setup is below.

Thanks.

I can't say how the Radeon Performs but, An athlon or pIII will give you a significant boost in UT because you are CPU limited. If you are really into UT I sugguest getting a Voodoo 5. In q3 the Radeon is somewhat faster than a GF1 DDR.

I have an ASUS 6800 DDR in the wifes machine and a Radeon 64meg VIVO in mine we both play UT and with 16bit color up to 1024X768 the Geforce1 card does very well but after that or in 32bit color there is no contest... I look at it this way...I always noticed you had the option of 32bit color under display properties but only used 16bit because of the performance hit... Now with the Radeon 64 I would never think of dropping to 16bit color for any reason (game or otherwise...) Also the other night a friend that is interested in the Radeon made his mind up when he saw the look and performance of the Radeon that I have... (he bought one today and will be selling his CLAP...ASAP) End of story...
