I'd fight it...
well, I personally wouldn't.... cause I hate going to court.. I hate how it works and I just wanna snap and scream at everyone in there.
but you should fight it, make the cop go DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!! hate their BS..

[sarcasm]WOW! I just came here to post something along the same lines. Now first of all it wasn't my fault, I was doing what I and everyone else do all the time. But I ended up killing someone. Now those pigs want to put me in jail! I am like, WTF! People die everyday and they want to harass me?! How can I get out of this? I am too stupid to act for myself and I need my Anandtech brethren to bail me out. Please don't make me think for myself or act like a man, I know I was wrong but who accepts responsibility these days?[/sarcasm]

Come back when you've gotten a nasty ticket for going just fast enough to keep the big rigs from tailgating your ass. Hell, I thought you owed your democracy to those who challenged the system instead of just taking it.

Thanks to those who helped me out.. I suppose I just have to find a good lawyer who's not too expensive now. I haven't even gone to court for my first ticket which was several months ago so at least if I contest it I'll get to drive a little longer, too (in case I lose anyway). 🙂
 
Suck it up. You broke the law. It doesn't matter if you were driving "safely" or not because you are not the one who decides that. The person who decided that the speed limit should be 70kph thought that 70 would be a safe speed and anything faster would not be. Thus, you were not driving safely. If I were a judge, that's what I would say to you. You should be setting an example for others by attempting to slow everyone else down to the speed limit rather than promoting the behavior. I'm not saying you should do 70 when everyone else is going 120, but you should go noticeably slower. Instead, you said you were going faster than the flow of traffic which is actually much worse since they are already speeding like mad. Sorry buddy, but you deserve every point and every dollar you owe. Time to suck it up and move on. Maybe those 6 months w/o your licence will teach you some responsibility for your actions.

Going slower to slow down traffic?? Do u know what u are saying or I am awake to early and reading it wrong. If he goes really slowly he will get pulled over and get a ticket for impairing the flow of the traffic. The second time when he was going the speed limit he was lucky cop was not around or he would be ticketed for impairing flow of traffic.

Just did a search on YellowPages for traffic services and came up with X-Copper legal services. Have anyone heard of them and if so, how are they?

Eh, nevermind, they're in Ontario. Dunno why they showed up when I specifically searched Montreal, Quebec.
