Is there any type of slotket that will house the cpu in a slot a mobo??

if thats a stupid question well so be it.. but i need to know cause i got a free non-working mobo and i'm gana RMA it so if thats the case then i'm all game!

No adapter is available that will permit you to run a socket a cpu in a slot a motherboard. If your motherboard has the AMD 751 chipset, you can buy a slot a thunderbird for $50-60 and get decent performance.

and if it uses the KX133 dont go over 800 mhz if you have to get a slotA tbird.

the reason there aren't slotkets for amd:
1. thunderbirds dont play nice with the kx133
2. the amd 751 sucks (kinda) compared to the KT133, KT133A, and the other socketA chipsets, so its not worth it
