Lets say you win the big ticket Powerball, the whole sche-bang. You decide to get a custom built yacht, around 150 or 200 feet.
Can you buy weapons to outfit on it? Could you, seriously, have the builders put a small deck gun on it? Nothing crazy like some 16" battleship turrent, but like those small ones on coast gaurd ships and a sensitive short range radar?

You probably could, and would never be allowed in just about any port or territorial waters you could name.

Ah, makes sense.
Only reason I wondered, is if I did win the Big Ticket, I'd want a big cruiser on the water. 200 feet or so, and I'd probably spend alot of time in less the friendly waters (Asian) so a little anti pirate defense would surely be nice.
Not that I'm going to win of course, but I'm sure as hell gonna buy my tickets.

you'd have a hard time buying that sized yacht off lottery winnings. Those sized vessels require a substantial crew, fuel, etc etc etc....most of the time the purchase price is the least of it.

As far as outfitting it, Lamborghini had a SUV that came with the mounting points for a machine gun turrant and that in and of itself is not illegal at all.

Many boaters do 'pack' when going on the open seas, you do have to know what ports you pull into though and their ordinances...in some areas docking with weapons will get you imprisoned and whatever you came in impounded.
