Question about Xeon's

Are Xeon CPU's 64bit processors?? I hadn't heard this before, but I heard someone mention it and wanted to check up.

*edit* looks like it's true, new 64 bit Xeon's are here. Out of curiosity, do you have to have dual Xeons and Opterons, or can you have just 1 processor in a system??

No. As far as I know, the only 64-bit Intel is the Itanium2.

Just saw this...check it out. Looks like the Intel diehards now have another option for their 64bit processors, the new "Nocona" Xeon (3.4GHz, not bad).

That would be the 64-bit Xeon.

They're not shipping in any significant quantity yet, but they're coming alright.
And yes, you can run just one Xeon or Opteron.
