Question about WoW..

I played the beta and got to level 30 looooong ago, but I didn't want to pay for the game($60) + monthly($20) in Canada, so now I downloaded the client with the 14 day free trial from fileplanet...and the game is working without a CD. Wondering, can I just download the client now(or later on) and just pay the $20 monthly or is it not possible and I will have to buy the game discs after the 14 days are over?

You sure he couldn't just upgrade a trial to a retail? Thats how most other MMO trials work.

Check the account settings and options from your trial account, see if there is an option to upgrade.

But, thats what is confusing me, if I click the upgrade will it tell me ''ok now insert the WoW disc to play''?

The way WoW works is you need to buy the game
end of story.

There is no other way to play the game on official servers.

Even if your friends lends you the CD...all it will do is let you install the game.
but you wont be able to do anything because you need to have a CDkey to create an account...

You can not get a CD key from any other place but buy it from a store
once that CDkey has been used to create an account, it is no longer valid and u cant create another account
