I went out and picked up a curl bar and was in the process of ordering some plates online when I stumbled upon 12 sides ones. My roided up looking strong man wanna be looking neighbor almost had a Hernia when I told asked him if I should order them over regular plates. He strong dislikes them but apparently can't verbalize it any further than "they suck!" I don't have a bench atm, and probably won't be getting one anytime soon as I don't have room. For curls it seems to me they might work better. But I'm a n00b here so I have no knowledge just a guess. Googling this didn't help me really at all, I found 2 threads on some muscle forum where the dudes were bitching that 12 sides plates suck and to stay far away from them.
My question is, is there any real reason I should avoid them?
