Question about Voice over IP

Hey guys,

I recently tried a voice over IP program, Skype, which was a pretty cool free program. But it seems the fact that I am behind a router makes the connection really bad. My words are like cut up. The other party could barely hear me.

Anybody found a way to solve this problem ?

I use Vonage for VoIP. They require a number of ports to be opened on my router for the service to operate properly. Maybe Skype is the same way, check there FAQ maybe.
