question about vBulletin

yeah you should be able to search by IP, partial matches and everything. There's a "mod" button on the bottom of forums (usually) which will take you to (usually) http://forumurl/modcp/ where you can find quite a few tools.

There should be an option for you to display their IP whenever they make a post. That'll be the IP they posted it. Otherwise, you oculd check the access logs.
