Question about UT

Got hooked on UT, and someone told me I had to dl each individual patch up to and including 436, that just patching with 436 won't include the earlier fixes. Is this true? Also, where can I go to download and install maps, so that I don't have to dl them when logging onto a server? And what the hell is the second cd in the GOTY edition for? It didn't ask for it during the install.

1) Just download the latest patch. It fixes everything up. Don't waste your time downloading all the individual patches unless you have nothing to do... 🙂
2) You can download and install the Bonus pack and alot of other add-ons. Check out Planet Unreal or the Unreal Tourney Official Page. They have alot of mods available with maps, new character skins, etc. However, sometimes people make their own maps to play so you'll have to download that map in order to play on those servers.
3) I don't think it asks for the second CD. The second CD, I think, is the editor... (I could be wrong). All that you really need is the first CD to play the game.

The second CD in the original version was the high-resolution textures. I assume it's the same for the GOTY edition.

The 2nd CD has some of the NEW maps! So make sure you load parts of it at least. I think the CHAOS maps are on the second CD.

Plus, for those of you that played the tournament in the original UT, GOTYE has added a couple of the new maps into the tourny! Not a big deal, but I thought it was cool.

I forgot to tell you. Tactical Operations MOD did NOT make it to the GOTYE! So, you will NEED to download.

Do yourself and favor and download TO, because it is awesome!
