Question about UPS Insurance

I sold a DVD Drive on Ebay and today I get this email:

I just got the dvd from ups, the box & the dvd was damaged.
So I called ups and told them,that are going to pick it up
and send it back to you, they said that you have to make
the clam on it.they asked me the value of it ? I said $300.?


I sent out the package by The UPS Store (MBE) I dont believe that I paid any extra for insurance, but as I do recall I think the MBE Clerk told me its automatically insured for $100 but dont exactly remember.

Has this type of situation happened to anyone else, what will be the next procedure, if it was insured will I receive a check from UPS.

It's insured for $100 automatically, call their 800# to get the claim rolling.

i am not sure of ups, but with fedex it is $100 automatically. probably same with ups

its a dvd-rw for the computer its no-were near $300 like he said
