Question about -- Upgrading my K7S5A BIOS

NICKel

Quick question, I have been loathe to upgrade my K7S5A BIOS for fear of blowing something up, but now I just got a new 1800XP and I need to flash bios.....

Any basic advice for beginner?

Thanks in advance...

ummm ... keep your feet still until ECS also release the 2002/03/25 BIOS, or use the already released
PC-Chips version of it (M830, M830LR). This is lots better than the earlier ones, especially in PCI card
handling and - I'm told - RAM compatibility.

regards, Peter

just remember that the older bios's have a floppy issue with winXP(?), if you are useing win98-no probs.

definately check out the links posted by Whizzy. if you can't find the info you need on the k7s5a there, you prolly can't find it anywhere.😉😛
