Question about upgrade....

I built my current system (in my sig) a while back and am now sparking an interest in socket 939. My question is i can get the socket 939 micro atx mobo from monarch, but what processor should i get? Should i go with the winchester 3200+ or the newcastle 3500+ (those two are withing my budget). Which would i see a performance gain in (ile. 3dmar 01, etc) And would i see a performance increase?

Thanks.

when i had my old a64 2800+ I overclocked it, so i dont mind. Im willing to do anything. I was usually comfortable around 222 fsb with the 2800.

Then I would go with the 3200+. You save a good chunk of money and the 90nm 3200+ should OC easily past the 3500+. I've never done cooling in a SFF case but the Hornet is supposed to be a great case.

yeah temps are not a problem, ive done my own mods to add to the cooling. Thanks for the reply that 3200+ looks promising. thanks again.

No problem, here to serve. 😉 I actually just bought one for myself for this year's upgrade. Have fun!
