I'm about to put together my CS server in a min. I'm planning of OCing the chip later on as I learn more about it. My question is should I unlock the CPU now or just wait till I'm ready to OC? Will unlocking it now not let it run at it's normal 750mhz?

all unlocking it does is allow you to change the multiplier. if you set the multiplier at default in the bios, it will run as normal. or else u can just set it to what it should have been. example: i unlocked my 266 fsb 1.2 ghz t-bird. to get it to run normal. i just set the fsb at 133 (default) and the multiplier at 9. 9 x 133 = 1200. then its running normal. so definately unlock it if you're gonna overclock it ever b/c its a pain to unseat it and have to reapply thermal grease and stuff.

Thanks for the reply!

So would I even need to set it since I've never played with the setting before? Shouldn't it just stay at it's default multiplier?

yeah, just leaving it at default will run it at the normal speed. test it out, if it doesnt work, then set it to the multiplier u want to make it factory speed. no harm in trying.
