Question about two Athlon64 processors that look entirely different but have exact same specs

Except for the heat spreader they are the same. Some times you need to flash the bios to a mobile compatable one (C'nQ will cover it). Most standard heatsinks will not work as the hieght is lower and not enough pressure is applied.. Perfect for water cooling.

If you can afford it, and the watercooling, this one will overclock much, much higher than a normal one. Also, it'll consume less power.

Are you reffering to the "brown" one or the "silver" one?

One of them is Mobile. The Mobile uses a bit less voltage and can scale down in speed more than a normal A64, needs less eficient cooling and will probable be better overcklocker.

If its for the desktop, however, I would go with the normal part, just for the HS on chip.-
