Question about torrents

I need a crash course on how torrents work please 🙂

what program do i need, how do i use it etc. I'm only an idiot when it comes to torrents usage.

Thought was illeagal. I would like toons but was told it was illeagal even if it was tv shows

Use a different client than default!
Like
uTorrent or ABC
Set the upload speed to like 8-15k depending on your internet speed
Dont cap your dl speed usually unless you have to use lots of bandwidth for somethin else
Make sure you get the tracker that has the most seeds and some peers

www.myspleen.com has a ton of cartoons and stuff. if you want really old cartoons, you can get them offa archive.org via ftp.
