Question about tonights Simpsons episode

I've never really been sure what state they were from. But in tonight's episode about smuggling sugar during the scene with the kabal they said they were going south of the border. Homer then replies "Tennessee?"

So.............that means they are from Kentucky right?

not necessarily. there are a lot of states that have a border north of tennessee

I mean does Kentucky have a coast? Is it an hours drive from NY? Walking distance from Vegas? Know what I'm sayin?

no. it was an obvious jab at ppl that think the simpsons are from kentucky🙂 thats why burns talks about some island after and they go boating🙂 kentucky is land locked.

While we're discussing . . .

At the end of the episode, right before the credits I thought I saw a flash of Bleeding Gums Murphy . . did anyone else see this and did it say anything, etc?

I think it said dedicated to the memory of some guy (didn't catch the name)

my guess is the guy who did the voice of bleeding gums murphy, or the guy who the character was created about, died.

Yeah the guy who did Bleeding Gums' voice died a couple days ago (I looked it up after I say the tribute thing). 🙁 link

It was dedicated to Ron Taylor, the guy who did the voice of Bleeding Gums Murphy. He died recently, I take it.
