At a buffet the bus boy (person) is getting paid at least minimum wage, there is no reason to tip.

You know at most major resturants waiters/waitress get min wage too before tip, atleast in California.

For most other states wait staff gets paid less than minimum due to tips.

Actually I know for sure most of the big resturant chains like Cheescake factory pays their staff more than min wage. Also in many states buffet workers don't get min wage do to the fact that they work a tip possition.

I thought the general policy was that you dont tip at buffets.. Not sure, my parents always just leave a few bucks, not as much as 15% though

Well, we did leave $4 bucks when we ate a Chinese buffet Christmas night, and that was mainly because my Dad was almost killed by some black teenagers who thought it would be funny to try to run him off the road (him, bike, them, car) when he was returning home from working as a bus boy (when he was in college).

What does being black have to do with anything?

Not if you don't make it out to be. Still doesn't change the fact that these dumbass teenagers thought it was funny to pull along side him at night and honk their horn, causing my dad almost fall off the bike. Then as they sped off laughing they threw their trash at him and shouted racial slurs. I don't understand those teen; How could deliberately trying to injury someone be funny at all?

even if its buffett the waiter/waitress probably makes 2.xx an hour and will depend on their tips for the day. i still tip 15-20% depending on service.

Again I ask you, what does being black (or any minority for that matter) have to do with anything?
