Question About the Sound Blaster Live

I am looking at getting a Live Drive I for christmas. However Creative on their website states that the Line In 2 on the Live Drive will not work with the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live (CT4620). No why would this be if all the cards are the same, minus the different packaging and software bundles.

Does anyone know?

Edit: They also state that it will not work with the Live Value, why is that also?
