Question about the Sound Blaster Live 5.1

I'm wondering how do I hook up my xbox cable into the sound card? I have the adapter so that it will fit into the sound card, and I put it into one of the inputs and when I blasted my speakers, I can barely hear the sound. Is there something I can do so it will be loud?

Make sure that you've got it connected to the Line In port (I assume you do since you've got sound) and then in the Volume Control panel, or the Creative software equivalent, make sure the volume of the Line In is set to about 3/4 of the maximum.
